IT’S the hottest ticket in town for Hoops fans this weekend – briefs to see the champions in Livingston.
And for one Celtic fan – that’s a phrase to taken quite literally.
Celtic players will go through their warm-up here tomorrow lunchtime[/caption]An enterprising dad tried to help his son out after his away briefs for the big match on Saturday were soaked through.
But the result has left him hot under the collar, with smoke coming out his ears – and his TICKETS.
His mishap was revealed on X.com, formerly Twitter, as his sister Megan appealed for help in securing alternative entry to the Tony Macaroni Arena and easing the football family‘s tensions.
The heat is on though with Saturday’s clash kicking off at lunchtime in West Lothian.
She explained: “I am looking for help – my brother’s tickets got wet yesterday and then my dad decided to GRILL them.
“Please don’t ask any questions – we are looking for 2 spares for Celtic v Livingston before my brother slide tackles my dad.
“Can collect asap from anywhere really.”
She accompanied the post with a laughing emoji and a picture of the charred evidence – a toasted trio of tickets.
And Hoops fans shared her appeal far and wide with more than half a million views registered on the Tweet.
Hundreds replied too including some who couldn’t help but ask for more details and joke about the unfortunate episode.
One asked: “Why did he not sit them on the radiator?”
@AyrMegan replied: “Anywhere but the grill – on the radiator in a towel, on the table, anywhere but the grill. Don’t understand what he’s been thinking.”
Others suggested phoning the ticket office including one helpful, yet hilarious tip: “I’m sure the ticket office could cook something up for you.”
Celtic head to Livingston on the back of a European reverse to Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Nat Phillips missed the Rotterdam clash but Brendan Rodgers will make a late call on the Liverpool loanee.
Marco Tillio IS back in training but it remains to be seen if he will make an appearance.
However those who won’t include Liel Abada, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Maik Nawrocki who are all sidelined through injury.
The Hoops kick off at 12.30pm but could extend their lead at the top of the table to five points over second-placed St Mirren – and SEVEN over Old Firm rivals Rangers, who don’t play until Sunday.
