CELTIC manager Brendan Rodgers intervened when stewards stopped a young Celtic fan running onto the pitch at Livingston.
The Hoops manager saw his side run out 3-0 winners at the Tony Macaroni despite playing the majority of the game with ten men after goalkeeper Joe Hart’s first-half red card.
It was a huge win for all those associated with Scottish Premiership champions whose fans rejoiced at the final whistle.
And one youngster ran onto the field to celebrate with his his heroes, but he was stopped by stewards.
That was when the Celts manager ran towards them before ushering the kid back to his friends in the crowd himself, much to the enjoyment of his supporters.
Speaking about the incident after the match, Rodgers told Sky Sports: “It’s just common sense. The wee guy at the end, he wants to see his heroes. He shouldn’t be punished or prosecuted for that. “Especially when the security guy’s a lot older than him.”
